Derriford’s Children’s Wards needs your help for all children from 7 days to 18 years old, who are receiving treatment and care. Some young people may come for a quick visit or short stay, while others face weeks or months of treatment.

We know the hospital can feel lonely, overwhelming and impersonal, like your whole world has been put on hold. It can take children away from the things that make them feel safe. Even adults feel this way when they come into hospital.

By supporting this area, you can help us provide new equipment, toys and play for children and young people. The right equipment can make treatment feel less scary, while toys and sensory items help distract and comfort our youngest patients, making their time in hospital feel a little more like home.
