An 18-month charity funded project to help NHS staff improve their mental health following Covid and lockdown has made important progress despite a backdrop of industrial action, staff sickness and operational pressures according to University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust.

Staff from the Postbridge day surgery and overnight recovery unit gathered on 21 March to celebrate the unveiling of two beautifully transformed pre-operative rooms for patients.

The Snowdrop Suite, a sanctuary for bereaved parents at Derriford Hospital, was officially opened on the 17 October 2023. The unit has been renovated to provide an improved environment for families who are suffering the sad loss of their baby.
