A Festive Lunch for UHP Volunteers

We were delighted to fund a festive Christmas dinner for more than 50 UHP volunteers at Goodness at Greens in Derriford Hospital.

Volunteers from across the Trust came together for the occasion and to celebrate the impact they’ve made this year. The afternoon was full of laughter, festive cheer, wonderful company and good food.

Danielle Faulkner, Voluntary Services Manager, said:

“Our volunteers at UHP have given over 34,847 hours (the equivalent of 1452 days!) of their time this year to support the Trust, and it was so lovely to be able to treat them to Christmas lunch to recognise and thank them for their contribution. Their commitment, generosity and compassion make a huge difference to our patients, visitors and staff, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do. A huge thank you to Plymouth Hospitals Charity for helping us to recognise them this Christmas.”

Our partnership with the volunteering team is something we really treasure, and we’re thrilled to have one of their lovely volunteers now with us at the charity. We hope everyone had a lovely afternoon!
