Murals at the New Plymouth Community Diagnostic Centre

We're proud to have funded murals across all three floors of the new Plymouth Community Diagnostic Centre, designed and hand-painted by local artist, Mrs Murals.

Before it opened its doors to the public, we were invited to look around and captured some brilliant photos of the murals, as well as Mrs Murals at work, as she continues bringing this exciting project to life.

We know how powerful art can be in transforming clinical environments into welcoming, calming spaces. These murals will create a more positive experience for everyone who visits, whether attending for an appointment or staff delivering care.

Many of the designs celebrate our ocean city, and botanical scenes bring a sense of calm and connection with nature. Beyond their visual impact, some of the murals have also been thoughtfully designed to support diagnostic care, with subtle markers incorporated to aid clinical assessments.

The Plymouth Community Diagnostic Centre welcomed its first patients last week and is a brilliant addition for Plymouth, bringing diagnostic care closer to people’s homes and into the heart of our city.
