Plymouth Hospitals Charity’s Halloween Challenge: A Fire Walk & Lego Walk
Plymouth Hospitals Charity is on the lookout for fundraisers ready to take on a new challenge, all while raising life-changing funds for patients and staff at Plymouth's NHS hospitals.
On Saturday 1st November 2025, families are invited to join us for an afternoon of daring fun at Derriford Hospital by completing a sponsored walk along one of two tricky paths. Which will you choose?
Path 1: The Fire Walk
Barefoot, you’ll cross 5 metres of glowing hot coals, reaching temperatures of around 1,200°F. It’s a challenge that requires focus, courage and determination but we'll have the experts from UK Firewalk here to guide you safely through. It’s a chance to push your limits, whilst giving back to the community (for fundaisers aged 12 and above, entry fee £20).
Path 2: The Lego Walk
Not quite ready for fire? The Lego Walk, which we’ll be running earlier in the afternoon, offers a fun and mischievous challenge for fundraisers aged 5 and over (entry fee £5). Walk 3 metres across a bed of pointy Lego bricks — parents, here’s your chance for a little revenge! It’s a light-hearted way for the whole family to get involved.
Who will you do it for? Whether it’s to thank a specific area of care that means a lot to you or to support the hospitals looking after families right here in Plymouth, this is your chance to make a difference and enjoy every moment of it!
All sponsorships and donations raised from this event will make a real-life impact. Funds raised will help transform patient environments and facilities, provide cutting-edge equipment, drive local research and support staff wellbeing and development - all over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone. Thank you.
